Joke continues to pursue her hobby

The BBrain Reminder Day Clock helps Joke with her sense of time.

The clear display of date, day, part of the day, and time provides her with that extra bit of assistance. Joke Sannen has been using the BBrain Reminder Day Clock for several months now.

"I used to ask my husband Ben what time it was or what day it is all day long," says Joke. "Thanks to this clock, I don't need to anymore. I'm very happy with it."

If you often forget which day or time it is, a clock that clearly displays date, time, day, and part of the day can be very helpful. "We already use a digital photo frame, a smart photo frame," says Joke, "but the date doesn't automatically appear there. The BBrain has this feature, and I find it particularly pleasant to see the day and time at a glance."

Joke was introduced to the clock by case manager Iris Bramer from TMZ. "I noticed that Joke found it annoying that she had to keep asking what day it is." The BBrain Reminder Day Clock helps Joke, despite her early memory problems, to maintain as much independence as possible. "Joke still focuses on what she can do," says Iris. "She lets go of what no longer works. This way, she keeps her own autonomy. If she encounters difficulties, she can always ask me. I don't have all the answers," Iris adds with a laugh, "but I try to support her as best as I can." Joke and her husband Ben have been living in Borgstaete, a modern apartment complex next to Meulenhof in Tubbergen, for four years now. They enjoy living there. "They support each other," says Iris. "And they discuss everything with each other."

Joke has been giving gym classes to the residents of the complex for some time now, and it is highly appreciated. "This way, we all stay active. I use exercise lessons from the internet. But if you want to plan those exercise lessons, it's handy to know what day it is."
